Dilemma with wedding?

The reception starts at 5 pm. Limo will be at church at 4:30. Photos will take an hour. Ceremony starts at 3 pm. Groom wants….instead of us walking down the aisle after the ceremony…for us to greet each person in each pew as they leave (not a receiving line, just me and the groom) so we won’t walk down the aisle after we kiss, we greet people as they leave. 100 guests total.

I really do not see it taking any longer to dismiss each pew as it would to have an actual receiving line you are still going to speak to each person. I say if that is what you both want to do then by all means do it. Maybe the photographer can get some of the photo’s done while you are greeting your guests. Remember it is your wedding. As far as BM and GM wanting to sit with their significant other I say NO. During the dinner they need to sit at the head table and for the toasts after the music starts and so does the dancing then by all means let them sit wherever they want to, by that time no one will care who is where.
