Compare as many different checklists as you can as they will all be different and you will need to find one which closely matches your wedding plans. Generally they will cover an 18 month planning period and have tasks relating to a traditional wedding, so it is highly likely you will need to do some editing to make it fit with your plans.

Most internet wedding sites will offer additional extras with their wedding planning checklists. These can include other handy wedding planning tools such as a budget planner and an ebook on wedding planning tips and advice. Usually all that is required to get them is to signup via email for a newsletter and that should be free!

Once you have found your checklist and have edited it to fit your wedding plans, print out copies for yourself and those who will be helping you with your wedding planning. This could include the groom, your maid of honor and your mom and mom-in-law, they will appreciate have a copy of your plans and will be able to take some initiative when it comes to organizing certain elements of the day.
