Catholic Wedding Ceremony Programs

Catholic Wedding how to do it?
Hi my fiance is catholic and we are getting married in his church I do not go to church my family was not into that whole thing so I have no idea how to go about this. The church knows I am not catholic I am christian just not catholic. is there any website or videos to watch because all i know is they sit and stand and kneel a whole lot so i really have no idea what i am going to do and i do not want to disrespect his family by making a fool outta myself. also do i have make up programs for the ceremony? is it like mandatory we are only have 50 people at our wedding and they won’t read them
his church does NOT require me to be catholic
Go with your fiance to Mass one Sunday and you’ll realise that it’s not really all that difficult to follow.
Are you having a full Nuptial Mass for your wedding? Because you’re not a Catholic you do have the option of only having the wedding ceremony is very straight-forward, has no kneeling and the guests pretty much sit through the whole thing. I would talk to your fiance and the priest and ask about only have the wedding ceremony.
Programs are nice but not necessary. No church that I’ve attended, volunteered for or been to Weddings at has made this mandatory. They’re a great help if you’re having a full Nuptial Mass and guests who aren’t Catholic because then you can instruct them in the program when they should be standing, sitting, kneeling or what they should respond. Trust me, they’ll use them and be grateful for them.
The websites I’ve put below give you an Order of Service which will give you an idea about what goes on in a full Nuptial Mass but seriously though, parts of it are not much different to a Sunday Mass so go with your fiance on Sunday.
Good luck.
P.S You’re right, it’s not required that you become Catholic. That was stopped along with full sung Latin Masses.
