Should I incorporate the silver on my wedding invitations into my wedding colors?

My colors now are brown, yellow, and white. I bought these Wedding Invitation kits at a mega clearance deal. They have this silver border on it and I don’t know what to do to style up the invitation. I’m trying to make it more modern. I’m thinking just a simple ribbon on top punch holed in.

Silver is a neutral color, so it doesn’t have to become a part of your official color scheme.

Plus, even if you use a color somewhere, it doesn’t have to be used elsewhere. If everything flows together nicely, that’s all you need to worry about.

If you want to add a ribbon to the invitations, go ahead. Or apply a little stick-on jewel, or a paper/ribbon “belly band” to hold the invitation and the inserts (RSVP card, and a map or hotel card if you’re sending those) together. Just make sure it all fits in the envelope and won’t get squished, and plus make sure that it won’t require any additional postage.
