Where can I have an Outdoor Wedding Reception In the Michgan thumb area?

I would love to have an outdoor (under an tent) wedding reception in Michigan. I prefer the thumb or detroit area. Does anyone have an idea where? I heard that if you have a wedding in a state park then you cannot serve alcohol.

the thing is state parks won’t let you metro parks will let you have beer and wine. Kensington park off 94 there was a great wedding there and wine and beer was served just no mixed drinks.

The thumb is a great area. jinx park would be GREAT for a private small wedding.

but have you thought about checking out the port crescent campgrounds… they might have space for you up there.

my wedding is in june at a hall that has 16 acres downriver i wanted the indoor out door thing with the outdoor not being the “smoking section” we have dunk tanks and lawn games and moon bounces and the guy who rented me the space is great.
If your interested in a Germain hall that is. it’s not really pritty but fairly cheap!
need your own caterer.. seats up to 300 peeps.

you know what you should do. is gmaps.. and look for the green area’s find a private park and start calling..
there is a park down river that doesn’t have a hall it’s a private park off of old fort in Gibraltar. one drive to get throught the thing but you could most likely get the hole park … it didn’t have a building so i didn’t check it out.
